Why is it Mandatory?
Under the Bihar Municipal Act, every person running a trade or business within the Nagar Panchayat limits must obtain a Trade License. This ensures the business complies with health, safety, and zoning regulations.
Operating without a valid license is a punishable offense and may lead to the sealing of the establishment.
Application Procedure

Fill Application
Collect the form from the municipal office or download it online.

Attach proof of identity, address, and ownership/rent agreement.

Fee Payment
Pay the prescribed license fee based on the nature of business.

Verification
Sanitary Inspector verifies the premises for hygiene and safety.

Issuance
License is issued valid until 31st March of the financial year.
